York Vikings Inner Wheel Club


Inner Wheel was formed in 1923 by the womenfolk of Rotarians who, for many years, had assisted Rotary with their varied humanitarian and charitable projects.  From its very beginnings Inner Wheel worked for and in support of Rotary and continues this supportive role to day wherever and whenever possible.  The Inner wheel club of York Vikings currently has 29 members and meet on the 1st Thursday of each month (except August) at the Beechwood Close Hotel 19 Shipton Road, York YO30 5RE at 7-15pm.

Many local charities benefit from Inner Wheel activities. Overseas charities that benefit include; Sight Savers, Water Aid, Save the Children. 
Inner Wheel of York Vikings has supported the National project to provide half the cost of a new Lifeboat now named "Inner Wheel 2".

Recently completed activities;
Information will follow at some stage.  Funds raised for these projects were provided by the organisation of various events including but not only; lunches, etc

International Inner Wheel has 103,000 members in 100 geographical areas worldwide.  If you are the wife or female partner of a Rotarian or the widow of a Rotarian or former Rotarian, or a female family member of a Rotarian or former Rotarian or the daughter, sister or mother of an Inner Wheel member or former female Rotaractor or wife of a Rotaractor or female Rotarian or female former Rotarian, you are eligible to join Inner Wheel.
